This server gives an AI assistant Formula 1 data from the FastF1 Python library. The assistant can get a season’s calendar, details for a Grand Prix, and results for any session from practice to the race. It can also look up a driver, analyse a driver’s laps in a session, compare several drivers, pull telemetry for a lap (the fastest if you don’t name one), and fetch championship standings for drivers and constructors.
The MCP side is Node and TypeScript. It calls a small Python script that does the FastF1 work, so you need both Node and Python with FastF1 installed. It needs no API keys. I used it with Cline, but any MCP client should work.
It was the fun one in my March 2025 run of MCP servers: I built it in a day, on 22 March, and haven’t changed it since.
